Sandy Kiosk - SANDRINGHAM

I've been here twice, and while the food is quite bland, similar to a local sandwich shop, it doesn't quite hit the mark in terms of flavor. I did add an extra point for the fantastic chai latte. However, I really enjoy the casual atmosphere; it's dog-friendly and has good Wi-Fi. The beach vibe is very appealing, and the location is perfect for dog lovers. I particularly love the secluded beach.

Yesterday, I had lunch with two 10-year-olds. The kids shared a curry and each had a mango smoothie. I ordered a meat pie and some ice cream. The total came to over $40, and for that price, I expected a bit more. The portion of curry and rice was small, and it could have filled a dessert bowl for each of us. Additionally, the fried element, which I think was a papadam, was soaked in oil. My pie was barely warm, and my iced coffee was made with hot shots from the machine. While the taste was acceptable, it was still warm rather than cold. Overall, I wasn't impressed. We were so hungry that we finished our meals, but I won't be returning. P.S. Please learn to clear the tabs.

This restaurant used to be a local favorite, but it seems there has been a change in management. The current staff could benefit from being friendlier and more personable with customers to enhance the cozy and laid-back vibe of this charming beach spot. The banana smoothie remains outstanding, and the food quality is good, but it noticeably lacks a cozy atmosphere.

I'm coming here a lot. loves the chai latte. love the smiling, friendly service. love that the dogs can come (show,) so it is perfect for all seasons. love the banana stack yum.

Not really for lovers of a good breakfast. The omelette was missing its coriander and the bacon was more rubbery than the soles of my partner's nikes. But, the soy chai latte was amazing!
