The Wakefield Inn - Sanbornville

There used to be a fantastic inn in Wakefield, run by a lovely family. The wife was a professionally trained chef and took charge of the kitchen. The menu offered a wide variety of choices, all of which were outstanding, and the prices were very reasonable. Everyone praised the restaurant, and it truly deserved a five-star rating. Unfortunately, those wonderful days are now behind us. It is under new management, and it just isn't the same anymore. Hopefully, things will improve in the future!

The food was tasty, but it arrived lukewarm, which was quite disappointing. Wakefield Inn, please improve on this!

I was excited for the reopening of Wakefield Inn and decided to visit for dinner during their first week back. Unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. There were four of us, and we all felt that our meals ranged from mediocre to inedible. One person ordered the special, which was fish, and it turned out to be very dry. Another diner chose the chicken breast, which looked like it had been excessively pounded and was just as dry and unappetizing—truly inedible! The spaghetti and meatballs were just okay, but it's hard to mess that up. The Caesar salad was good, while the mussels were nothing special. Two of us tried dessert, and they said it was very good. I’ll chalk this up to their opening week and might consider giving them another chance in the future.

Restaurant is under new ownership\management. Was hoping it would reopen and be as good as it was before. Unfortunately this was not the case. Party of four for dinner and all of us were very disappointed with our appetizers and meals. Overpriced and below cafeteria level food. No love, creativity, or skill expressed in any of the dishes. Service was below average. Pricing should be cut in half for this level of quality of food and service. Most ingredients appeared to be common supermarket or big box store items. No local farms or other sources supported or mentioned on the menu. The four of us cannot stop talking about how poorly our meals where prepared and presented. If you do go do not hesitate to immediately bring any issue to the manager's attention otherwise they will never improve. Hope they can turn things around and do better.

Awesome service and food. Great price and atmosphere. Make great cocktails. If you want to get in make reservations ahead of time as we tried day of and they were booked.
