El Diego - San Pedro Garza Garcia

Argentine steakhouses are found in most cities in Mexico and most are very very good. This one was new to me and it was just like most of them great. Nice ambiance, great selections, great wines and of course great meat empanadas. Highly...recommended. Oh order the creamed spinach too.

So you are in San Pedro, in the busy Calzaa del Valle and feel an urge for beef. Stopping by 401 is a smart move, located next to one of the best restaurants in town (and a classic), 401 has everything from coffe and cigar...shops, ar dealers and quite a few restaurants, from sushi, through mexican, italian and a couple of seafood spots. El Diego is the only 'argentinian style ' restaurant, nicely sized and I have to agree, with impeccable service. Staff is here to take care of you. The menu includes typical argentinian dishes, provoleta, empanadas and beef (they proudly display the Angus ceification). I ordered arrachera, and it was pretty good. Honestly, not the best I have had, but pretty good. Portions are nicely sized (even their salads); I will have to come back to try bife or vacio and review again. (I was craving for arrachera this time).
