The Counter - San Mateo

A terrible service here. Had to wait for 10 minutes to place our order. When we set ourselves, half the best of my party was dirty. One of the glasses of water had lubricated a kind of sauce on the outside. There were no condiments brought to our table. When our order arrived, a plate lacked a product. When we asked for the missing article, some clean cutlery, spices and a new glass of water, the server seemed disturbed. She never brought the water. We asked a few minutes later, it never came. After all, I had to get up, go to the counter and ask someone for water. This is by far the worst experience that I have eaten in a LONG time, but not the end of the world. HOWEVER, which is particularly disturbing, is that this restaurant automatically adds 20% Gratity to any din-in series. So basically EVERYTHING was wrong from the beginning to the end, but we were forced to give a tip that I think would be an extraordinary service. The food itself was really good, but that was the ONLY redeeming quality in this place. I would like to say that the next time I would only get the food to enjoy it in a cleaner environment, but they add 10% luck to the recording. After this experience, I refuse to pay a tip again and again. Don't come back.

They let you compose your own burger. I think this is a very nice idea. They are also very fast. The food was excellent and milkshake also! If you are close to them I strongly suggest you to visit this place!

The service was extremely attentive and the food was delicious. I had the Naked Impossible Burger, and it was fantastic. Their specialty drinks are enjoyable and refreshing, although a bit too sweet for my liking.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was lacking, and the food was just average. I paid $55 for a cheeseburger, grilled cheese, and milkshake, which felt way too expensive, especially considering there are better options available. I used to love this place, but I've felt uneasy during my last three visits, and the prices are just not justified.
