Kumi Ko - San Luis Obispo

I was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I ordered spicy ramen, but they served me packaged ramyeon instead. I also requested an extra egg for my ramen, but they added a freshly cracked egg instead. To top it off, the rice in the sushi wasn’t cooked properly and was too dry. Overall, I was extremely dissatisfied with the quality of the food they served.

Ate here for the 1st time with 2 of my daughter's. They had California hand rolls I ordered Rainbow roll Caterpillar roll. Everything was fresh, prompt delicious. The server was very courtesy will definitely eat here again.

The sushi is great! And beware of the Wasabi, I love it and use a lot and I blow my head off. But my sins are clear now. And the completion with cheesecake and ice cream is PERFECTION!??????????

Kumi Ko Japanese restaurant offers high-quality sushi and delightful beginner-friendly rice dishes. As a Japanese American living in both Japan and the U.S., I can confidently say it feels authentic. The atmosphere is enhanced by decorations imported from Japan, and the sushi chefs wear traditional Japanese outfits and hats, which adds to the experience. You can observe their craft from a 120-degree angle, which is quite impressive. I tried the chirashi, a colorful dish topped with various types of raw fish over sushi rice, and it was delicious. My wife enjoyed the California roll and also ordered vegetable-fried rice, which was equally tasty and served in generous portions perfect for sharing. I left feeling full and satisfied.
