Franks Famous Hot Dogs

I don’t have photos I should have made photos. Years ago 20 yrs when I worked in San Luis for a doctor the doctor and the staff would eat there . They made round hotdogs with delicious chili beans. The chili beans were red look fresh had great flavor. We went today the Winnie was old and rubbery the chili cheese was a just beans and meat no flavor color looked like left over beans chili. The only fresh was the tomatoe. Soo disappointed the only think is the place was clean even the bathrooms my hotdog was a sloppy mess just disappointed obviously under new management.

This was my first time at this restaurant, and I was pleasantly surprised by the fast service. The food was delicious, especially the chilli dog. I was impressed with the generous amount of cheese on top. The staff brought the food directly to my table, which was unexpected but greatly appreciated.

What? This place makes “the best” green chili verde burrito! Large pieces of delicate tasteful pork, seasoned with a wonderful spicy Chili verde sauce, egg, onions, peppers! Big enough to share, but I wanted to share this great Burrito, but I saved 1/2 for my lunch the next day, happy I decided not to share! Maybe next time or not!

Many ways to make hotdogs and Frank's knows them all. Very tasty. Good size portions. Noisy inside but a fun atmosphere. You order at the counter but food is delivered to your table.

Meh. I ordered the Chicago Dog…it was COVERED in celery salt so much that I had to wipe it off with a napkin, what a mess. Bun to dog ratio wasn’t good, they claim big weenies are best, but looks like size didn’t matter that much! The fries are like freezer bag French fries that taste just like hospital or school fries. Service was good, fun atmosphere and nice employees.
