フィードバックを提供するWe had a wonderful experience at the Apple Farm restaurant. The wait to be seated was surprisingly brief, even with our party of six. The food was hearty and served in generous portions. Our service was excellent—thank you, Mary! We also enjoyed meeting the baker, Paul, who shared a wealth of information about the items he had prepared that day. The prices are reasonable and in line with the local area.
Charming little restaurant. This isn't our first visit; we've dined here several times over the past 20 years, and it used to be better. That said, the meal wasn't bad—just a bit greasy and pricey for the portion sizes. The house-made jam and fruit spread are absolutely fantastic; they were definitely the highlight of the meal. It's disappointing that they don’t offer it for sale in their bakery. The restaurant could use some TLC; there was a large black widow spider web in the corner above our table, complete with trapped flies, which was off-putting, especially for a meal at a higher price point. The service was decent—not the best, but certainly not the worst. Overall, we were a bit let down given our wonderful experiences there in the past. We did enjoy a lovely stroll around the gardens and millhouse. I'm giving it 4 stars mainly because of the fruit spread; otherwise, it would have only earned 3 stars.
This restaurant used to be fantastic, with excellent food and a wonderful atmosphere. Unfortunately, since the new owners took over, they've reduced the operating hours, cut the staff, and diminished the overall vibe of the place. I really hope they can bring it back to its former glory before it's too late. The staff was still amazing, and the bakery items were delicious. However, when I returned recently, I noticed the menu had changed significantly. The server seemed overwhelmed and couldn't spare a moment for friendly conversation. They were out of country-fried steak and now only offer nine breakfast items, one of which was also unavailable. I really miss the preserves, the old menu, and the inviting atmosphere. The bakery still shows glimpses of their former strengths, although it's quite limited now; the pecan bread pudding was truly outstanding.
One word, delicious!! The tomato basil omlette was recommended. The robust flavor of basil awakened my senses. The raspberry jam that was made that morning was perfectly paired with the sourdough toast and fresh brewed coffee. What a delightful way tobegin a Sunday Morning. The service from our waitress Abby was over the top. I truly hope this restraunt makes it through thecontinuing struggles of the current events. The core staff has been working hard to carry on. I also hope the priveledgedpublic doesn't judge to harshly. All this and still serving food fit for the gods. If you are looking for a greasy spoon thisis not the place.
Given that they're just recovering from the pandemic, I could only give then 2 stars just because their temporary menu (hopefully temporary) isn't like their old menu. I miss their scones and muffins that normally come with their meals withblackberry jam! You now order up front, take a number, then sit where you want. They were out of their green chili omelets. So Ijust went with boring pancakes. If you want water, you can get up and get it yourself. And they bring the food to you. I'd stillgo back in hopes that they'll soon recover from what's been going on these last couple years. They're still trying to hireemployees. I think I only saw two girls working really hard. So it must be hard to keep this business running. I'd like to givethem 5 stars but it's not really up to par with how they used to be. Best of luck apple farm inn
