Original Joe's San Jose

My husband and I used to come years ago with my parents and our children. We always loved it! We spent my birthday here last night with our kids and grandson. It’s just as beautiful as I remember it. The food is never disappointing. The portions are big and you definitely want to take the leftovers home. The food is worth the price! I’m so happy this restaurant made it through all the pandemic closures. I would say this is the highlight of San Jose because not too many original places are still around. The servers are very professional and friendly. Especially ours. Chris was amazing and always asking if we needed anything. Refills without having to flag him down like most places and engaging in our fun time. The seating is classic and the ambiance is still original but well kept and clean. The name definitely fits perfectly. ORIGINAL JOE’S

Always a go to favorite. Always busy but worth the wait. This has been my younger daughter Bella and I's daddy daughter date go to for 10 years. Ive been coming since I was a freshman at San Jose State in 1990. Love this place.

If you like Italian food, go there. You will not be disappointed. Also, despite the fact that the place was packed when my group of 5 arrived, they seated us right away. Definitely recommend.

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. From the exterior, our expectations were not very high. The tuna melt was delicious and the pasta dish was decent. The waiter was helpful, although not very enthusiastic. There is parking available nearby, with 90 minutes of free parking, if I remember correctly.

08/16/21. Nothing amazing at Joe’s but nothing terrible either. Atmosphere is great and staff was nice. I’ve eaten here twice. 1st time ordered a NY strip medium rare. Steak came out medium and was tough as leather. Also, the chef cooked it in front of me and was eating out of the pan of another dish he was preparing. Gross. The second time I ordered Joe’s original burger. I recommend this. It is HUGE!!! Asked for it cooked medium rare. Came out extra well done.
