House Of Bagels - San Jose

I've been going here for years so I'm not sure why it never occurred to me to write a review. This place is simply the best bagel shop I've ever been to. They have a wide variety of bagel types (plain, jalapeño cheese, cheese, pesto, whole wheat, and many others as well as bagel dogs and a huge selection of cream cheese choices. They also have a bunch of drink options including coffee (lattes, mochas, etc. . Sometimes there's a line, but it always moves pretty quick. At the busiest time, I've never waited more than ten minutes.On a separate note, the lady behind the counter is the best. Everyone is pretty friendly while staying efficient and great at their jobs. You simply won't find a better bagel place in the bay.NOTE: there are other house of bagels locations and while they do have bagels, they don't hold a candle to this place.

First time here. Legit bagels. Cappuccino was also superb. Big line, but went quickly. Not overpriced.

This is the best bagel shop I’ve ever been to!Phenomenal service! They always remember your order. Sometimes there’s a line, but the line moves quickly as they are super efficient. Great coffee too!

The picture speaks for itself, the bagel here was the best bagel in town and it comes from a tiny mom&pop shop so u know they mean business. I got this and a sausage egg and cheese bagel but get this, each bite is like sipping a cold sprite but from McDonalds on a hot day. Like allowing your mouth to leave your body and jump into a cold pool that refreshes your senses and makes your body feel... out of body. Would recommend to anyone.

If you want to have great bagels, you found the place. It is worth the wait, and even though it's a small place, there are several tables and chairs outside you can eat at. The menu choices are very large, the food tasted amazing. I got the Cheese vegetarian bagel, and it was delicious! It was a big bagel, with great spread, and very fresh vegetables. The service is very fast, the people there work like clock work. I'll be back next time I'm in San Jose and will reccomend it to my friends.
