El Camaron Loco - San Jose

We visit L.A for the Café con Leche Festival and wandered around this area to see what was around. We discovered this place and thought it was nice. The inside feels like you're in a Tías house for the recalentada! And the food is amazing! We had a Michaelada with the fixes, the fruits and the tradional Tamarindo stick with Camarones a la diabla and a huarache de cabeza (cheek kissing it is definitely worth checking because there are many other possibilities. We were also told by the staff that this place was owned by former people, so it is under new management.

This is a place to visit again for sure. The tortas here are delicious. I want to try more dishes.

Starting off with a complimentary taco is a delightful and welcoming touch! The food is delicious and the staff is friendly. Remember to leave a tip for the great service.
