I enjoyed it but it was sweet for my taste. I would order it again but less sweet.Iced Vietnamese coffee a bit sweet but was great after adding some milk to it.Atmosphere was nice, lots of interesting displays and signs to look at. It's like sitting in my living room.... needs a good dusting and decluttering.
The place was cute and a little rustic looking. I got the pandan coffee and tbh it was not exactly what i expected! I think i would like the coffee more concentrated and the pandan to be less watery. Seems like a good place to do work though
Famous in our area for a good reason. Best coffee, best vibes, best everything. The definition of iykyk. Every single one of my friends from high school still comes here as regularly as they can and it hasn't changed in years. The coffee is freshly roasted on-site, the snacks are unique and all amazing, and the owner is passionate and sweet. This place will always be a staple and an icon. #iykyk #sgv #freshroastforever
What a wonderful spot right in the heart of the SGV.So homey inside, with contrast of busy San Gabriel boulevard outside. You feel comfy yet energized.
Great spot for coffee, desserts, and so much more! The menu is very extensive featuring crispy egg waffles, egg tarts, breakfast foods, wings, and egg tarts. The owner is an older man who runs the shop mainly on his own during the weekdays. He can seem a bit intimidating at first, but he 's actually a very nice guy when you stop to converse with him. All the coffee here is roasted and made in house, and because he makes everything himself, the orders take some time. We stayed to study for about 4 hours and within those hours we ordered a pandan coconut coffee, ube coconut coffee, Pandan mochi waffle, Yummy Bao with pork, Durian egg waffle, and tofu pudding. Pandan coconut coffee 5/5: The coffee is strong with a subtle taste of pandan. I like that it 's not too sweet and you can taste a good amount of coffee. Ube coconut coffee 4.5/5: I loved that this was made with real purple yam bits. You get a strong flavor of coffee and the ube flavor isn 't as strong but you can ask for it to be more sweet if you want more flavor. Pandan mochi waffle 5/5: so crispy and delicious! Pandan flavor is very light and not too sweet which I liked and the mochi on the inside was nice and chewy! Yummy Bao with pork 4/5: this is like a sandwich that came with a large piece of pork belly, tomato, and lettuce that is sandwiches in an Asian steamed Bao! Durian egg waffle 5/5: if you are a durian fan like me, definitely try this out! There is fresh durian filling in the waffle with a light taste of durian. I especially love the crispy texture and you can 't go wrong with any of their waffle flavors. Tofu Pudding 4/5: got this with red bean and mung bean and it was pretty good. The beans were a little hard but the tofu was very silky and tasted great with the syrup. It gets pretty busy during the weekday mornings but dies down in the early afternoons and makes a great spot to study at. It is a relatively quiet study spot with no background music other than the sound of the owner making coffee. There is parking available in the back parking lot as well as street parking in front of the shop.Overall, I would highly recommend checking out this spot for great coffee and a variety of snacks. This has easily become one of my go to study spots because of the quiet environment and extensive food options!
