The Thali items rotate so I never know what I’m getting, which is never an issue, because it’s always great. I love the vibe in there. It’s chill, cozy and clean.
I have been coming to this establishment for almost 10 years now. Before I became vegan I used to order (and try) everything on the menu, especially meat! I have never been let down. Absolutely the best place around for Indian cuisine. I really love the people here too. They always remember me and spend time to explain the menu if I have questions. Now they have a vegan Thali. Which I am going to try. I will review and take a picture for y'all. Updated from previous review on 2021-09-18
While the grocery store setting doesn’t do much for ambiance, this place has amazing food. I usually order take out. It is ready in 10-15 min (even though they say 20) and it’s always hot and fresh. Great vegan options: aloo gobi, Chana Masala, eggplant curry, dal (no cream version) The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and will recommend a popular vegan dish if you ask.
As soon as you walk in don’t be alarmed by the division of market and restaurant. You can shop after : I loved their food! Simple. Order: Veggie samosa (3pcs. w/ tamarind spicy cilantro sauce Lentil soup Garlic, red onion basil naan bread Aloo gobi (potatoes cauliflower *I choose mild spice* Saffron rice Staff was very patient in explaining what certain terms meant on the menu. Looks as though it is family owned everyone had good vibes. Ambiance is cool. There is a tv playing Indian music videos. It was entertaining. Parking was great! No hassle. Seating arrangement can seem a bit tight. Since the location is divided in half between store/restaurant you might be closer to your neighbors than you think. Can’t wait to go back!
I've been here to eat several times over the last few years. There's a long slender arrangement of tables next to their 2 or 3 grocery aisles full of hard to find ethnic fare. 2 flat panels above are playing hilarious bollywood videos while you eat. This is a family owned restaurant and you see the same friendly faces all of the time. As I'm relatively new to the vegan lifestyle, and not extremely knowledgeable about what goes into certain Indian dishes, I've asked the waiter to help make my selections since I've made the diet switch. The recommendations have always been completely delicious. The options are vast, and I have yet to taste everything on the menu, and nothing has disappointed.
