Masala Dosa - San Francisco

Delicious biryani and curries. Ghee idli sambhar was yum too.Try murgh masala for sure!Gulab jamun are worth trying too.

Dal, spring dosa, samosas all very good! The vegetables in the dosa were fresh, perfectly cooked, and savory. Everything made from scratch. 5 stars especially if you are looking for something vegan, vegetarian, or just something with more vegetables!

Sambar Vada was dry and bad tasting.. Their signature Masala Dosa was horrible..The potato filling was dry, chutneys did taste fresh.. Service was acceptable.. Dont go there expecting good south indian food.. How can a Mexican chef know the flavors and taste? The place was empty on weekend indicating bad food and owners disinterest in the restaurant..

The lamb Biriyani with Rogan Josh If you can handle spice, definitely ask them to up the spice level. However, I feel like it's better to go there and eat it while it's steaming hot. I'm Bengali and this was very close to the food I get back home.

Though the place has Dosa in it 's name but very few options for Dosa. The sambar quantity was not good enough.The biggest surprise was the 20% gratuity!! We were four adults, 2 young kids and the owner told me there 's 20% gratuity for a party of 4 or more! So basically even 2 adults 2 kids would mean 20% gratuity! First time ever I heard this in my life!
