I totally recommend this place, the food has the authentic Mexican flavor, I personally like the chile verde combination, delicious , the red chilaquiles are my daughter's favorite . The chips and salsa are really good too !!! 5 stars to the owners and staff, always smiling .
If you want some delicious and authentic Mexican food, this is the place for you. There's no pretentious hipster vibe here. Just really good food for a reasonable price. The corn tortillas are so good I usually buy some to take home! Definitely worth the trip!
I visited this restaurant on a weekend around 4 PM, and it was a bit busy at times. I ordered the carne en chile rojo, which was not very large. Initially, I wanted the costillas de puerco en salsa verde, but they were unavailable. I regret getting the beef dish, as the flavors of beef and red sauce didn’t really work for me. On a positive note, the server was excellent, and we were seated right away, along with fresh tortillas and salsa. I definitely plan to return, but I won't be ordering that beef dish again. The handmade tortillas are as big as ever, and the menudo is simply delicious. I also recommend the caldo de res; it's my go-to dish for cold weather and really helps with sniffles and colds. Overall, it has a charming mom-and-pop feel that makes it a great little Mexican spot.
However, I gave the restaurant four stars because the ordering process is unclear when you first arrive; it's not obvious whether you need to place your order at the register or just find a seat. A sign indicating "please take a seat" would be very helpful. Additionally, the restroom could use a complete makeover. We had to request soap, and there were no paper towels available to dry our hands. On the whole, it’s a pleasant spot for traditional Mexican food, and I would definitely return.
