Wonderful Sushi - San Diego

This is a relaxed neighborhood sushi spot with very reasonable prices. We ordered bentos for lunch, featuring sesame chicken and grilled mackerel. The panko-breaded sesame chicken bites were impressively grease-free, crunchy, and delicious. The mackerel was grilled to perfection and tasted incredibly fresh. My only suggestion for the restaurant is to consider replacing the miso soup bowls, as they appear a bit worn, despite the soup being excellent.

As soon as I walked into this restaurant and spotted several experienced Japanese sushi chefs at the bar, I knew we had made an excellent choice for our sushi catering. This place truly impresses with its authenticity and outstanding sushi. They worked within my budget for our order, had everything ready on time, and even arranged the dishes as we requested, making the presentation perfect for our gathering! We had a number of vegetarian guests, and they offered fantastic vegetarian sushi options, ensuring there was no cross-contamination with masago or any fish items on the same plate. I highly, highly recommend this place for its top-notch fish quality, authentic preparation, punctuality, and reasonable prices for all your catering needs! I hope this photo captures it all...

Ok for the price. Easy and quick. They will charge you $1 for any modification even if it's for a less expensive substitution. I wanted spicy tuna in my roll instead of spicy scallops. Although it would have been a less expensive cost to the restaurant, they charge $1. Other than that it's fine. Simple straight forward

I’ve tried sushi in seven states and sixteen different cities, and this is some of the best I’ve tasted. They are very generous with the fish, unlike some places that skimp on quality and use mostly rice and cheap ingredients. Whenever my kids are asked where they want to eat, they immediately say, "Wonderful Sushi!" We’ve dined at many upscale sushi restaurants, but this one feels like home to us. Sure, there are fancier places out there, but the flavor here is truly exceptional.
