Il Sogno Italiano - San Diego

Unbeknownst to me the dinner on NYE was a set menu with choices that were less than good. Initial table was moved after staff ran into our table multiple times knocking menus on floor. After ordering the first 2 courses were delivered within 5 minutes. Food was average at best. Plates were not cleared. I have always enjoyed this place before but will not go back after a very subpar dinner and service.

Music way too loud, food served cold and way over priced.

Considering it was NYE, everything was wonderful! My only note to the restaurant is that whomever checks the dishes before serving should pay closer attention to plating, which was a bit sloppy and food could have been hotter. Our server was fabulous and the music divine!

Didn’t like that there was a preset menu. On open table it said we had an option between the preset menu and a regular menu and I chose regular. But when we arrived and were sat they said it was only the preset menu, which to me wasn’t very Italian. The service was great though and a nice atmosphere.

Hysterically, we managed to eat a New Year's menu in about 60 minutes, get scolded because we asked for our wine and in total lost $600. I rarely complain and am by no means a snob but I would have rather spent $600 on Mc Donalds or better yet given them to charity. This restaurant is a joke! Hope the waitresses do a better job at their second job that they clearly wore the dressed from… Sebastian Chef and food creator
