Taqueria El Jiro - San Augustine

The homemade chips and salsa are yummy. The service is **** and careless and it apparently takes over 20 minutes to complete a to-go order. They don 't put in plasticware with to-go order (this has been multiple visits). They quality of meat is terrible and is usually really greasy, and don 't expect anything other than lettuce and cheese because you 'll get charged for anything extra .

Great food and the salsa was amazing. It is served hot and tastes great! The wait staff is very friendly and treats you like a member of their family. I ordered beef fajita enchiladas and they were very good, my wife had the taco salad and she enjoyed it as well. My margarita on the rocks was tasty, and the prices were very fair. Nice to discover a good family restaurant in a road trip!

Good food and fast service. Very friendly wait staff and food was great! Queso was amazing as a start and the chips and salsa was flowing.
