Sea Island Shrimp House - San Antonio

We were seated very quickly, and the employee who took our order was very courteous and friendly. The food was great, too.

Let me start off by saying, I’m not sure if this is a restaurant or some upscale version of Long John Silver. If the latter, I give it more stars. But I think it’s more of a seafood restaurant, so it gets 3. I ordered fish and shrimp with coleslaw and fries. Upon first glance, I know this isn’t fresh shrimp. However, they were still good. The fish looked better than the shrimp but the batter had a hard time staying on. And the coleslaw was some of the most bland I’ve had, so that one I would not even recommend. I also ordered the key lime pie and it looked like it came straight out of a box. For being the “best seafood in San Antonio”, as it says on the building and on their website, I’d say y’all need to go eat at a real seafood restaurant. And whoever is doing this voting knows nothing about seafood. Sorry for the harsh words but it is what it is. I only give it 3 stars because I liked the atmosphere and the associates. Also, the sweet tea was great! I would come back just to try something else, though. Words of advice: work on the seasoning.

First time ever coming to this restaurant and it won't be the last time. It was so good. Delicious food, great customer service, very attentive and the atmosphere was also great...
