Rita's On The River - San Antonio

I had a terrible experience at Rita's on the Riverwalk. The visit was disappointing in every way. The food was overpriced, served cold, and tasted like it came straight from a can. The borscht beans were watery, and they didn’t even have tortilla warmers. As a white person who owns one, I found that particularly frustrating. They charged extra for everything, and overall, it felt like a nickel-and-dime operation. I will never return to that restaurant again. Absolutely horrible!

I'm not going to give this place a poor rating, but I'm disappointed to see that it seems to be struggling. I visit San Antonio every September, and this is the second time I've found it closed. The windows are boarded up, and everything is shut down. I hope that anyone reading this avoids making the trip here, as I'm not sure if they'll reopen. Best of luck to them!

I visited this place for a couple of Margaritas and was shocked by how pricey they were. The upside is that for just $10, you can get a refill all year long. They pack quite a punch, so one Margarita can definitely put a smile on your face! However, the customer service left a lot to be desired. Overall, the experience met its purpose, as I found myself smiling shortly after leaving Ritas.

The Peachy Margarita was delicious and a bit pricey, but definitely worth it! The food was okay, though not what I had expected. I tried the sour cream enchiladas, and Jay ordered the Rita's plate, which he said was good! I would definitely return just for the drinks. They really should have had a special for Margarita Day, though! Lol!

Friendly staff, good presentation and for the most part the food was terrific. I just wish I had paid attention to the nacho description because I don't care for refried beans and there was way too much on the nachos and no where near enough cheese. The Queso a la Riverwalk was good and the Jalapeno Bacon Corn cheese dip was perfect!
