Mrs. Kitchen Soul Food - San Antonio

Family trip with hubby and adult children. Food was excellent!! We had all personal favorites... Catfish..baked chicken... roasted chicken... Yams... crowned greens... cabbage... potatoes... peach bully... dressing and corn bread... usually don't do restaurants for soul food because I was an excellent cook, but I wasn't disappointed... Great service and food.. Definitely recommend.

We tried the meatloaf, fried chicken, pork chops peach cobbler! Everything was amazing and delicious! Speedy service as everything is kitchen style! Staff was extremely friendly! The last thing that was five star, they donate all leftovers to the nearby church!

Went here on two occasions and I must say the food is delicious. Just wonderful soul food. I actually had smothered pork chops with dressing gravy and a side of Mac cheese. The Mac cheese was the best I’ve had in a long time. On my second plate to go, I had fried fish and and another side of dressing with a side of greens. Of course, this was a lot of my favorite comfort food. It put me right to sleep once I got home and realized I had dozed. Smh, now I will have to exercise harder. I highly recommend this place. This restaurant is a nice place to eat, it’s also clean, and quiet. People are friendly here as well.

This place is what soul food is all about. Great food, great service and the music is great. I highly recommend this restaurant. Go there you won’t regret it.

Found this place next to my hotel and decided to try it. I've been missing soul food for a while, and looked forward to seeing what this highly rated San Antonio joint had to offer! Excellent service to start. You can tell from the picture, that I had a hard time deciding what to order! The ribs were superb, and I think they were a special for the holiday. I had top tier catfish, and the accompanying sides were great as well. It was a bit pricey for soul food, but hey... chalk it up to inflation. I hope to return soon!
