Of everything that I tried, I would get the Texas sheet cake and the chocolate croissant again for sure. Those two were both great. I didn’t have either on the same day that I bought the other items and they still tasted as amazing as if they had been made that day. I heated the croissant in my oven with a bowl of water so it wouldn’t dry out and you couldn’t tell the difference between this and a regular croissant. I ate the sheet cake cold out of the fridge and it was phenomenal dense and well flavored, not too sweet but very satisfying. The kolaches that I ordered were a last minute decision when I picked up my pastries. I’m glad I tried them, especially because they are HUGE kolaches. I’ll be trying their other flavors because I wasn’t blown away by the fillings but I was blown away by the texture and how well made they were. The filing wasn’t bad, I just wanted a little more flavor and I didn’t think the jalapeño sausage kolache was spicy at all and wanted more spice there. The same is true for their cupcakes, I really liked the cakes but didn’t particularly enjoy the ones I tried all that much, which is more about me than their flavors. They were as good, if not better then the big cupcake places including H‑E‑B and Sam’s so swapping these for some other places is something I will do. I felt like the oatmeal creme pie was too sweet and could be balanced with a cookie with a little more flavor and i thought the maple pecan donut would be better balanced with a little more salt but otherwise these were good too. I will definitely be back to try other donuts, because the texture on the donut was amazing both the day I got it and the next day when I ate the other half for breakfast.
Im not a vegan, but I really enjoyed the food, it was very tasty, the restaurant was very clean, it was also decorated nicely, they also have a great assortment of pastries. I would highly recommend this place.
If you are like me and you believe the center of a fresh, hot cinnamon roll is the center of the universe, then you’ll want to head over to Miss Chickpeas and try one of theirs. They are delicious! And the staff are always warm and and friendly as well. Everything else there looks amazing, but I just keep getting cinnamon rolls. ???
Visiting San Antonio the first place we stopped at was here. We ordered a hazelnut concha, beans cheese pupusa, a salad, snickerdoodle a chai latte. The food was delicious! It was seasoned really well and fresh. Everything is vegan, which was a plus. The chai latte, however, didn't have too much flavor, though I did ask for no sweetener. But everything else was great.
So I was very excited to try this place because it came highly recommend. I ordered a cheesecake, cookie cream and a red velvet cupcake. I didn't request gluten free so unsure if that was the case. Because honestly my cupcakes were dry. I'm not sure if they were old but the icing was not too sweet that's always a perk. The cheesecake was just ok it had a weird after taste after each bite. Even though I wasn't pleased with my choices I would try them again. But for the pop tarts because I keep hearing the rave about them.
