Kosta's Greek Food - San Antonio

It was so cute here! The woman at the counter was so sweet! My husband and I tried this for lunch since we had no kids. However We I did notice they have chicken Nuggets and other options for kids which is nice. We both got the special which is an all day special, Gyro, fries or salad and a can soda for $8.99. We also got hummus as an appetizer and it was the best hummus I've ever had. So fresh! Everything was decently priced. We also had Baklava that was delicious also. Not too sweet. We'll definitely be back!

Under new ownership. This has made a great difference in the quality of the food. The owner shared that he buys fresh ingredients and never bulk items. He pays attention to the quality and it shows in great flavor I tasted. I've been frequenting this restaurant for years and this has been the best management so far.Food: 5/5

Had a family member recommend this joint and I'm glad they did. The service from the owners is top notch and they seem very welcoming and grateful. The gyro was great, with moist pieces of meat and the pita tasted fresh. The Greek salad that came with the dish was very tasty as well. The feta really adds another depth of flavor. Take caution if watching your calories, as Greek salads tend to have an abundance of oil. I believe it's a custom for most Greek restaurants, so maybe ask for it on the side if calorie conscious.I hope we continue to see more locally owned restaurants like this one surface in the near future!5/5

So, all of the reviews Scott being a hole in the wall are true! This place is a hidden gem. From the great conversation with the owner to the fantastic food, we enjoyed the hike l whole experience. If I had a gripe, the green beans were a little overdone, but still tasty with the spices added. As first time guests, we had a free baklava, and glad we did, it was delicious. We'll get a jar of the home made dressing next time! We will definitely be back! Thanks for a great meal. Couldn't add it below as a recommended dish, but definitely grab the lamb souvlaki!!!
