After 15 years Frances is as good as ever and still the best food in the Castro area. On top of the flawless old school Bay Area California cuisine is now fused a new Asian influence: a glimpse of the future. Bring your date here, and if they don't like it, keep looking for new dates.

Frances is a charming restaurant with delicious, creative dishes, interesting combinations of ingredients, lovely wines and a pleasant, winning staff that works together seamlessly. Everyone there seemed to be enjoying themselves and in rather tight quarters were friendly neighbors.

Delicious, unique, and seasonal dishes. Excellent for sharing. Lots of pescatarian and vegetarian options. Impeccable service. Will definitely be back!

Loved it. We’ve been meaning to go forever and finally made it to celebrate my husband’s birthday and it did not disappoint. We did the chefs tasting menu (vegetarian for me) with wine pairings and it was just excellent. Service was top notch. Our new favorite spot.

Place was great but tooo noisy, definitely restaurant should make something about it
