La Casita Cocina Mexicana Cantina

We’ve been on the hunt for a good Mexican restaurant ever since our favorite one closed during the pandemic, and we’ve finally found it! The atmosphere is very much like a cantina, with beautiful tile work that adds to the charm. The service is prompt, and the staff frequently checks in on us throughout the meal. The chips and salsa were plentiful, and they even provided extra salsa for our main dishes. The margaritas were fantastic! We ordered some of our favorites: Chile Relleno and Tostadas, served with their delicious beans and rice. I haven't enjoyed a Chile Relleno this amazing in years while searching for a new go-to spot. I truly believe we've found our new favorite restaurant!

When I brought this to the waiter’s attention, he insisted that the dish was good as it was and didn’t understand why I wanted to return it. He kept saying that it should be fine and mentioned that I would still have to pay for it regardless. I attempted to discuss ordering something else, but he remained adamant that my current dish was perfectly acceptable and that everyone enjoys it with the sauce. He even suggested I just eat it anyway. At this point, it felt as though he was accusing me of trying to take advantage of the situation. Frustrated and still hungry, I decided to leave and asked for the bill. I tried to explain to him that this was not an appropriate way to respond to a customer, and suddenly he changed his tone and said I didn’t have to pay. When I asked for the bill again, he still wouldn’t provide it, so I paid with the cash I had on hand and left (still hungry). This experience highlights a missed opportunity for better customer service. It’s essential that when a customer asks about the contents of a dish, they receive a complete answer, and that they don’t feel uncomfortable for requesting modifications. Staff should never dictate how a customer should feel about a dish or make them feel guilty for having their own preferences.

Some members of our group enjoyed their meals, while others felt theirs were just alright. My wife and I tried the steak and chicken combo fajitas, and they were fantastic! We did encounter a few minor service issues—part of our order accidentally went to another table, which set our meal back a bit. Overall, I would recommend giving this place a try, as our experience was largely positive. They're definitely good, but there's still room for improvement.

Had dine in night before wonderful food mediocre service. Very expensive prices for everything, menu changed and prices increased significantly. Next night went for chips and salsa to have with our leftovers used to buy them from here and it was $12which is reasonable. Checking out I noticed the size of the container is half the size and now almost $18! Disgusted…
