My wife and daughter ordered soup and received a tiny teacup-sized portion when they were charged for a bowl. I ordered a grilled turkey sandwich without mayo, but got a sad excuse of a sandwich with two thin slices of deli meat on small pieces of bread, no lettuce, no tomato, and it was barely warm. I was charged $7.99 for this disappointment. The owner even had the audacity to ask if we wanted more food, clearly trying to sell us more without fulfilling our original order. This place is anything but homey and is clearly taking advantage of tourists visiting The Gorge. The authorities should shut down this place for falsely advertising the items on their menu.
Every time I have driven by, they are either closed or open for a very short amount of time. They must have early opening and closing hours, and they are closed on certain days.
The atmosphere at this restaurant is very relaxed and welcoming. In addition to serving food, the restaurant also doubles as a shop where local artists sell their crafts. The menu is limited and simple, but it is exactly what you would anticipate from this type of eatery. I particularly enjoyed the sweet potato soup.
Breakfast was amazing! Healthy choices that taste like mama's cooking.
I've been driving a truck for 25 years and places like this are the ones I look for. Cozy atmosphere, excellent homemade food, wonderful service at great prices. I will definitely be returning there as much as I can for some awesome homemade food.
