フィードバックを提供するI gave them 4 stars SOLELY on the food. I was put off by the entrance. It's hard to even tell there's a restaurant there. The inside was muggy and dark. I wasn't a big fan of the ambiance. My boyfriend and I actually almost left. That was salvaged by the flavor of the food. My boyfriend had the buffalo chicken tacos and I had the special which was the Hawaiian escolar tacos. They were flawless, albeit... EXPENSIVE. The meal was $70 for our tacos, a guac that we shared VERY TINY PORTION a non alcoholic beer and a margarita. Geez. Will I go back? No. But they deserve praise for the food.
This place at the edge of Salt Lake City it's a very hip and trendy taco place, it's more like a fusion of Latin food more than authentic Mexican Taqueria, the place was packed, their taco options are all very original and they were very flavorful, service was a bit slow since I mentioned it was completely full, forgot to take a picture of the tacos but I had the duck tacos and it was very tasty dish, The queso fundido With carne asada was delicious, and so was the very original guacamole they had for the day, they change the flavors every day so you have to ask what the chef came up with on that day
Look, I hear a lot of people say how T27 is overrated and overpriced, but I am a fan. I have been a big fan of the grilled pear roasted beet taco for years, but have shifted to the grilled veggie taco as I'm trying to transition dairy out of my diet. I love the combination of seasonal vegetables combined with rice, all topped with a bit of crunch from the pepitas. If you ask me $6-7 really is not unreasonable for two tacos when you look at the fact they are clearly using quality ingredients. And two tacos is generally plenty when combined with chips and salsa or guac. If I'm really hungry, four tacos is more than enough, and less than $15 when it comes down to it. I call that a pretty good deal, personally. Plus, I'd argue they have some of the best margaritas in SLC.
Consistently good across all locations! Our server was excellent and really prompt with everything. I had the carnitas tacos and the special of the day, which was fried chicken tacos (and they were delicious! Honestly, taqueria 27 is a good place that I enjoy going to with friends and having in my mix of restaurants to visit. However, I don't think it's the best Mexican food by any means, more of a mainstream cute taco place with selections like beet and goat cheese tacos.
October 12 2017 Came straight from SLC airport to here for a late lunch. The red chile pork with mango pineapple salsa was out of this world. Pork belly tacos had a good combination of toppings. Presentation excellent. Already planning my next tacos here Ordered taco of the day. Braised beef Barbacoa over crispy fried potatoes was AMAZING. The crunch was of the potatoes was a brilliant addition to the taco. The chicken taco was good but in comparison to the beef it was a little boring The pineapple salsa was excellent. Although I thought the size of the guacamole was a little on the small size.
