Unfortunately the restaurant was far understated. our eating was good, but with 6 diners who received our eating sporadic, made it for an unpleasant experience. our appetizers came out as expected, but when we were finished with them, 2 of our party received their dinner 10 minutes before everyone else! after these 10 minutes we received 2 more of us our food and another 5 minutes after that the last 2 received their food. that are 15 minutes between the first plate and the last! incredibly bad timing. and one of the last plates was an salad! this is a bad administration and will unfortunately not withdraw from us or recommend it to our friends.
Here for a conference and went to dinner to oak. good food, good prices.
We ordered the inner city salt lake Dine-o-round combo, which was a strawberry salad and a pizza with goat cheese, tomaten and arugula; the hat trick; sriracha honey wings and a chicken pizza. I was impressed by everything, but that's the hunch on the chicken pizza. it was overcooked. otherwise the crust on both pizzas was excellent. the toppings were good and their aromene mixed really well. the appetizers were both really good and the strawberry salad must be a regular menu item! our server was attentive and very friendly.
Went for hubby's birthday. I did put the occasion on the reservation notes; either they didn't see it, or didn't care, because they said nothing about it upon arrival. Food was very yum. We had wings, baked goat cheese, tomato basil soup cups , meatball sliders shared . We should've ordered smarter, because we didn't have enough variety too much red sauce . We did ask the server about different dishes, and to recommend, but he wasn't too influential. A more experienced server may have been more helpful in creating a meal that was both well paired and diverse. Live music was fun dined on a Friday evening . Good atmosphere. Meal was expensive for what it is. $46 pre tax and tip; I drank water, husband lemonade. I'd describe the restaurant as fancy casual, maybe if that's a thing . We'll probably return, maybe try the Draper location for convenience; however loved the location of the SLC restaurant in a historic hotel, close to parking, shows, etc.
