I am disappointed in my experience today. I love this place, I am sad that quality is declining though. Cafe Solstice, PLEASE get back to better quality ?? I ordered the $5 grilled cheese with white bread for my 5 yr old... Simple right?? Hard to mess up...? Well, it came out with grilled bread, but cheese was grated cheddar, barely warmed, Not-melted. I understand it was a busy Saturday, but quality should not decrease (especially for how long it took). I even had a couple bites to try ... Not good. Super waste of money and a very unhappy 5yr old. I typically would say something, but my 5 yr old was done, the cook looked super annoyed to be working... I wasn't in the mood for continued chance of poor customer service. PLEASE fix this!! Grilled cheese is so easy!! I'm baffled more than anything.
I'm not a health nut. I like cheap and greasy fast food. Now that has been established I love Cafe Solstice. The food is always delish, filling and healthy. It's food that makes you feel good after the meal. The daily lunch specials are unique and I haven't found one I don't like. Prices are fair for the quality and the freshness of the plates. Best part of Cafe Solstice is it's attached to Dancing Cranes, a unique store that offers some cool items. I always get something after the meal.
This place is really tasty and it has awesome drinks! The food is a little over priced but it is really good and you feel good after eating it. The drinks are the way to go at the cafe, they are the best things there. The best part though is that it is inside the dancing crane. Come here and you get a tasty drink and you get to check out an awesome store as well. Differently worth the try.
This place was a sweet surprise. After looking around for breakfast, we realized it was Sunday which means waiting for a table, not what we do. Came here to buy something from the store, Dancing Cranes, which shares the same space with the cafe, and took a look at the menu and ordered the breakfast specials, an egg, cheese and sun dried tomato with spinach sandwich and the potato hash and avocado tacos. Both were delectable. Fresh simple ingredients made with care and probably blessed with quartz crystals. It's that kind of place. The drip coffee made my hair stand on end in the most delightful way. The rest of the menu is refreshingly inventive and they have an extensive herbal tea collection. The place is hippie chic. Comfortable, colorful and serene. Prices are on point and staff is Young and fresh and friendly. A perfect late Sunday morning surprise here in salt lake City. Also that sign (see pic) says it all.
