Smalley's Roundup - Salinas

Service was bad, we sat on an empty restaurant for 20 minutes to take our drinks order. Ribs do not taste or smell smoked. They taste good, but no smoke taste. Family meal came only with 6 slices of bread. Old Smalley was often better. Do not recommend and do not return.

It is not even 6:00 on Monday, after their hours they are open until 8:00. I called an order and after about 25 rings I got a message that they are CLOSED and check their hours on the website! You should be open! I never go back! I go to Salinas City BBQ, they treat their customers like family! SMALLY's hit rock soil sad because they're right on the road from home. They have lost a life-saving customer, not that it is important to them!

The ribs were dry and lacked flavor, and the BBQ sauce was bland and served cold. I took one bite and was so disappointed that I didn't want to eat any more. We also ordered the appetizer platter, which consisted entirely of fried items. We expected that, but they were greasy and tasted as if they had been frozen and then poorly reheated. When we each tried a mozzarella stick, we found that the cheese was just a hollow tube of deep-fried batter—again, completely tasteless. Additionally, the restrooms had large puddles of water on the floor, which was quite unsanitary. Overall, the food was cheap and truly terrible.

The food is, as always, delicious! However, during my recent visits, I've noticed that the woman with black hair has been lacking in customer service and friendliness. I didn't feel very welcomed. In the past, the servers were incredibly friendly, especially the male manager, who was always very nice.

Smalley's Roundup serves absolutely fantastic steaks, especially their ribeye, which is truly outstanding. They also provide a selection of sides to complement your meal. The portions are generous, the food is delicious, and the service is excellent. You can't go wrong choosing Smalley's Roundup! I recommend ordering an extra-large portion, as you'll surely want to save some for later. Highly recommended!
