Casa Sorrento Pizzeria Wine and Spirits

We had a small bizz meeting yesterday at Casa Sorrento Pizzeria and I have to tell you about it.. first of all the staff was awesome, we felt like family within five minutes of being there. Now to me that's huge, I've worked in restaurants for years and come from a big Italian family... it takes a lot to make me feel like that. We only had time for some small bites and we were treated to the fresh calamari, perfectly battered and friend, lots of fresh lemon, perfect.. Second was the artichoke hearts.. my god amazing!!!! We are planning a return trip to try their pizza and lasagna and we cant wait. The owner tells us the recipe hasn't changed since they opened....think about that..since 1962, that means its something that works. Being so excited to return only just from having two apps and the service... that speaks volume!!! Oh and Iris recommends have the 805, a beer perfect for a hot day and good food... Big thank you again to the house and its staff, cant wait to come back!!!!!

Great pizza, lasagna sandwiches. Server was marvelous and attentive. Only complaint would be the excess crust around the edges of the pizza.

Casa Sorrento has been a Salinas icon and a fabulous place for the best tasting Pizza for years, never disappointed, always consistent without losing out to commercialized Product. It's synonymous with Salinas.
