Mustard is a gem of a place with a wonderful, relaxed, easy vibe and some terrific food. The couple of times that we visited, we only ate the Bengali Food, as it was too tempting to move beyond this. The Kosha Mangsho, the Matar Kachori with Dum Aloo, the Jhingha Malai, the Mustard vegetables .....each dish was a complete winner. The veg starters of the Smoked Paneer and the Banana Flower Cutlets were amazing ....We followed it up with a yummy Creme Brule .....and the ended the afternoon in a food coma .....loved it. Follow or precede with some retail therapy at the attached lifestyle store ....
We visited Mustard yesterday during our short weekend trip. We were 11 of us and with 4 kids it meant a place which could cater to all taste buds. Let me first talk about the ambience. Tastefully done to say the least. They actually didn't go overboard and ensured that the decor went well with the mood. I'm told they have live music on Wednesday nights. There's also a boutique attached to the restaurant which can help you shop while you wait. Now coming to the food. We thought that each of the cuisine were delightfully planned. On one hand they served Bengali cuisine and on the other French. I thought both were will balanced, and while there's no fusion food, the menu actually looks full of nice. From the Doi Maach, Kosha Mangsho to the Fish fries, they were all good. I especially enjoyed the Peas Kachuri with Alur Dum and the Luchis were made to perfection. All in all, a wonderful experience and I highly recommend if you're staying in North Goa.
A tidy, quiet and from the beaten stretch eating shops near assagao beach. we were a group of 7 cousins on a meeting trip, and the beautiful garden fresh ambiente and quiet environment gave us a nerve-stack. it's hard to find quiet peaceful...loves in goa, and that's the place where they're not looking for a disgusting music. service is good. Menu...drinks appetizers and fusion price were a complete tasty bite and a thumb up to sniff for it. the bengali fusion article by radha ballobhi alu daam and the patra vaporized with a hauch of senf need special mention. Bar menu was plentiful and the drinks were cool. the costs are somewhat steep, but the resulting satisfaction makes it a full value for money.
The ambiance was excellent, the food delicious and authentic! We enjoyed drinks like tamarind sherbet and piña coladas. The shammi kebabs and betki fish were exceptional, as was the polenta dish and grilled chicken with mushroom sauce. A must-try for a great variety of options! The menu also offers a wide selection of vegetarian options.
