Au Coin des Saveurs - Saintes

We have luck having such a good restaurant close to. the menu is excellent and eating is always top notch. we have eaten here 6 or 7 times in the last few months and have never been disappointed. there are always meats and fish specialties in addition to the menu. the selection of wee is good and not expensive. the owner and his assistent offer super service. in terms of price-performance ratio, the restaurant is difficult to beat. we always reserve a table as they can be very busy, that said when they pass, it is certainly worth a try.

Really fab price eat great food and worth. in the outside area with lots of space missed. service excellent. pudding was the star!

Visited twice in a couple of weeks. Once for an anniversary the other with friends. Both times the food and service was excellent. The weather was kind so we were able to sit outside and watch the world go by. Menus on large boards...so no need to touch. The food was well up to standard, my salmon starter was enormous and the filet of pork with it's sauce for main excellent. For the money hard to beat. The service is always good and the waiting staff seem to know when to intervene without rushing.

Stopped here for lunch, we didn't have a reservation but no problem they had a table for us for a Friday lunch, the restaurant was nearly full and had a nice buzz. They offer a set menu, one starter of a goats Cheese tartlet (we...didn't have but the table next to us had it and there wasn't a morsel left on their plates so must have been good), a choice of two mains, a gammon steak with chorizo sauce and saute potatoes which my husband loved, I had the fish with parsley sauce vierge and potatoes, all delicious. A panna cotta and chocolate Mousse finished the meal delightfully. Very good value, €14 for a main, dessert and coffee. The friendly waiter managed the whole service himself and speaks english. Handy parking opposite along the quai, definitely worth a visit if you are in the Saintes area

We have to visit > 15 times / year and everything is always super from the moment we arrive. in summer we sit outside under the brandies in winter indoors. very good employees who always help when people are French is not so good. food is always. quality and very well presented. we have never felt rushed, always a good sign, as the personal seems to say when it is time for the next course. regarding the price-performance ratio, the quality of food and service au coin des saveurs would be hard to beat. we always reserve a table to not be disappointed.
