Le Cerf au Bois d'Argent

This is the restaurant of the hotel “Chalet Hotel La Balme”, where we came back more than thirty years after our youth stays from 1975 to 1985. The restaurant of the chalet is now at the top of quality. We were half board with breakfast and dinner... everything is plentiful, has a nice taste, and the service is very attentive. The hotel has modernized and is very comfortable, it now has three deserved stars and the prices are really not exaggerated. We book live with the same prices as the middlemen. The Jean family is always responsible and the reception is always attentive and warm. The hotel is close to the ski slopes, making it easy to start skiing. Our stay was too short and we will be back. We stayed at the hotel on recommendation from friends. One of the reasons why they recommended it was the food and it is true: it is delicious, very diverse and well presented and the service is also good.

Beautiful location. Delicious food. Interesting menu not only standard ski fair, really fine food. Great ambience. Stylish and interesting alpine decor. A group of 15 (6 adults 9 children) effortlessly supervised. We visited a suitable end for our stay for lunch on the last day of our holiday.

Quel plaisir d arriver dans cet hôtel situé sur les pistes !Nous sommes restés une semaines. Merveilleux moments passés dans un cardes exceptionnel. Ambiance chaleureuse et familiale. Cadre chic et décontracté ! Les chambres offrent une vue imprenable sur le village et les pistes. Belle décoration, ambiance chalet très agréable...Ne pas manquer de déjeuner sur la terrasse ensoleillée, un pur bonheur, je vous le recommande vivement ! Service irréprochable, cuisine excellente et raffinée. Vous allez-vous régaler... Ne pas oublier de terminer sur un petit Génépi :-) Merci à Monsieur Jean et à toute son équipe, nous reviendrons l'année prochaine !!!

Ayant fait une petite pause-ski dans ce restaurant pour y boire un café, nous avons finalement décidé d'y déjeuner, séduits par son cadre agréable.Le patron était présent et nous a conseillé. Nous nous sommes laissés tenter par les crépinettes d'agneau et les joues de boeuf sur pollenta au beaufort. Les plats étaient excellents. Le café gourmand n'était pas au même niveau, mais restait correct.Le restaurant est globalement une adresse recommandable pour qui a envie de s'offrir autre chose que le plat du jour ou le hamburger-frites traditionnels des restaurants de bord de piste. Les prix ne sont pas exagérés, compte-tenu de la situation du restaurant et de la qualité de la cuisine.
