I called and they held the last table and even started cooking our truffade whilst we drove there! Amazing meal, great hosts and good value. We over ate mind you. Totally recommend.
We have had dinner here twice during our holiday in the Auvergne. It is a small restaurant in a village 10 minutes from St Nectaire, and you have to make a reservation. They will ask you for your choice of main course - they only offer 3! We had truffade one night and fondue the second time. They were both excellent - but you've got to like cheese, potatoes, saucissons and jambon! The desserts were great too, and the service very friendly.
This tiny restaurants made us enjoy the typical cuisine with the truffade and the fondue with St Nectaire cheese. We did the 16€ and the 20€ menu, the food was really yummy and the size was xxl, I thought maybe I should have ordered the kids menu! The staff is really welcoming and kind.Good discover!
Our first time trying truffard - so yummy and filling I want to learn how to make it back home in Australia. This is not a fancy or sophisticated resteraunt but we had been to too many of this. This place was just nice, comforting, friendly, yummy!
Beautiful little restaurant in a farm a little outside of Saint Nectaire. Expect a typical farm and family-friendly service. The famous local cheese is bought on request, so book in advance. We took the fondue that was greeted with the Saint Nectaire on the... side.Only to see is the plate size that is really big, only share a starter if you want. Definitely a good place to go for dinner.
