Excellent selection of Mexican seafood dishes. Both entrees and family platters. The seafood soup is always on point with crab legs hanging off the side. The fried red snapper in Diablo sauce is one of my wife's favorites. The ceivche that comes out as a free appetizer is a really good way to start an evening. Their michelda game is on point as well.
Good food made me wait 2 mf hours and people were getting there food that came in after us. bad service good mf food so the choice is yours
Came in with a party of about 16 people. adults and kids. everything seemed fine. they took our order and brought us a few drinks. however we sat there for almost 2 hrs before we were brought out our food. we came from out of town and we were just socializing lost track of time honestly. when we confronted the waitress she had a snotty attitude. came back and told us that the order never got put in. here's where I blame our party for giving these people our business. we should've walked out at that point. thing is it was our first time in the city and by that time it was almost 9pm. so regretfully we stayed. I will say this the food was really good no complaints there. the total was close to $500. we confronted the apparent owner at the end when it was time to pay. you would think she would've apologized or something in that matter. oh it did not go that way. instead she acted as if she was gonna fight us. even threatened to call the cops. all because we complained that the service was terrible. st. louis was a great overall experience. but that left a bad taste in my mouth about the people from st louis.
I really love this place. I've been three times. The food is amazing. I have the mariscada and get an entire ocean of seafood, I should have taken a picture to post. It comes in an absolutely delicious sauce, just enough sauce for flavor, but not too much sauce that it overpowers the amazing variety and flavor of the seafood. My wife is a huge paella snob/fan and the paella here is her favorite by far, with no close second place. The portions are enormous. The fish soup is also very good, there had to be an entire fish in the soup, it's an entree on its own. It comes with garlic bread, which is great for soaking up extra juices and sauces, although it's a little out of place with mexican inspired flavors. The shrimp empanadas are good, I'm glad I tried them, but they are not as special as the other dishes. The atmosphere is really cool, brick walls, and a very very cool bar. If I had to change anything, their drink menu is very limited, only margarhitas and 4 types of beer, no wine. In my most recent visit, the food took a little while to come out, but that's okay, I wasn't in a hurry and the food is amazing.
