We started with the first courses, which included homemade pickles, beets, and split pea soup. Everything was perfectly seasoned and delicious. We ordered two meat platters at $50 each, and they were worth every penny. The platters were filled with an abundance of roast beef, pork, smoked meat, ribs, and sausage! Everything was outstanding, but my favorite item was definitely the ribs—absolutely amazing! Next, we enjoyed the traditional dishes, including a giant egg omelette soufflé, pig's ears, hot dogs in syrup, and some fantastic roasted potatoes. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the pig's ears; they were way too tough, and I almost broke a tooth, haha! Then came dessert! We had pudding chômeur and sugar pie. The chômeur was my favorite—perfectly balanced and not too sweet. The pie was good, but it was a bit too sweet for my taste. Overall, this will be my go-to sugar shack for years to come!
