The food was great, we got Alla Rosa and Rack from lamb for the main course, while Calamari Fritti shrimp marinara served over a bed of linguini for appetizers. The day ended with Cannoli Lemoncelli for Dessert. I love her statement. Life is too short to eat bad Italian cuisine?
I'm Italian from Philly and I have to say that the taste of the food was surprisingly good. I normally don't expect much and don't usually eat Italian out, but it was for a birthday party. Flavors were on point and food was fresh. Taking away one star solely based on portion size as compared to price, nothing to do with the food. Pasta is probably one of the cheapest foods to make, so throwing an extra couple in a plate should be a no-brainer, especially because the sauce was really good. I'd recommend this place based on the quality and taste of the food, just order more than you'd normally order.
Meal was superb, perfect in every way. I felt like I was back in the Bronx at a reunion with the NY NJ family. My beautiful friends set this up for a fellowship meal and Vito?s did not disappoint. What a beautiful night in memory of a wonderful person. Can?t wait to go back, definitely my new date night spot with my lady.??
Vito?s Italian Restaurant in Fruit Cove. By far one of the best Italian restaurants if not the best in Jacksonville. We love coming here and have an amazing meal. Being an Italian from New York I think I have had my share of really good Italian food not only my mothers but some of the best ones. We found Vito?s around 3 years ago after going to another Italian restaurant named Enza?s which happens to be Vito?s sisters place. We went to Enza?s a handful of times and the last few times it was not a good experience! Look for my review for Enza?s if you want to know. Anyway, we went to Vito?s for dinner and for our appetizer we had tomatoe caprese and my wife ordered chicken franchise with linguine, Caesars salad and pinot noir. I ordered the chicken piccata with spaghetti, house salad and water and bread for the table. Hands down the food was GREAT and every time we go there for dinner we are never disappointed! The staff is always very friendly and helpful and will make you night memorable. The owner always comes out of the kitchen and walks around to all the tables and chats with everyone which something you don?t see anymore. I have spoken to him many times and I like that he cares about his patrons and their experience. If you want to enjoy Great Italian food here in Jacksonville Florida you have to go to Vito?s.
Amazing experience! First time there and I loved it! Our waiter even did card tricks for us. The owner was super pleasant and treated us to his special bread. Omg it was soooo good! Inside the restaurant was beautiful and the live jazz band was very good! And best of all the food was amazing!!!! This is my new favorite Italian restaurant!!!!
