フィードバックを提供するBrenda Poirier is one of the best cooks in Quebec, with incredibly delicious food and a beautiful view of the river, making it the best place in town for dinner. The restaurant now has a new name, "L'Audace Boréale."
A small and cozy place with a great view onto the river. Very friendly staff. We were glad that we could speak in English and got a helping hand with the translation of the menu. The food, which was made of local ingredients and products, was great and delicious. Try the beer...which was awesome. We had a good time with very good food for a reasonable price.
If you are looking for a restaurant that serves good local cuisine, this is one of the places in the area to look for.
Tasting menu was top-notch, surprising to find such a great meal in an unassuming location (not just the remote town, also the place doesn't impress from the street). Excellent local beers (La Chouape also from Saint-Felicien) and everything was fresh and expertly prepared from the appetizers and soup to through the main courses and desserts.
After a tiring day of cycling, we were too exhausted to search for dinner options, so we opted to dine at the restaurant in our accommodation. To our pleasant surprise, this turned out to be an excellent choice. Despite having a limited menu, the options were intriguing and the dishes were wonderfully prepared. Tonight's entrees included walleye, pork belly, and a meat pie featuring game animals. Our group tried the fish, pork, homemade soup, blueberry pie with cream, and an apple/caramel pastry. Every item was delicious and the total bill, including tax and tip (excluding alcohol), came to around $C50. The service was also attentive. We were grateful for our weary state that led us to dine here, and we look forward to breakfast there tomorrow.
