フィードバックを提供するI could go on and on about how much I love this place. Their coffee and food are amazing. The employees are always so kind, and it's such a cool atmosphere to chill and work. Their bookcase and local art displays make it such a fun vibe. Always something cool to check out. There's street parking and a dedicated parking lot beside the building. A little tight for parking if you have a large vehicle. There's a decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating for such a small space, but it can definitely get busy at times. I love the culture and variety of people who hang there. It isn't just a college student hangout.
Great coffee, wonderful atmosphere and service. Nice neighborhood coffeehouse feel, highly recommend!
This is my fifth coffee house I visited on my week-long stay in Evansville and the worst. My latte was bland and watered down. I recommend going elsewhere. Check out Mission Grounds or Honey Moon Coffee instead. Also the owner likes to insult their customers. See below RESPONSE TO OWNER (owner deleted original response insulting me) Interesting tactic to insult someone because they didn't like your product. I actually visited your shop a couple months ago and the drink was mediocre at best but I thought I'd give it another try. I travel a lot for work and always visit local shops versus big chains. This time it was so horrible I could barely finish the drink. You don't use water in latte's? Seriously? And you run a coffee shop? I'll bet you $1,000 water is used in making a hot latte. Actually maybe you're right and you didn't use water. That would explain the awful drink. What was used instead? Turpentine? Why didn't I return the latte? You know some people have to work and don't have time to go back to the store and get another drink made. Forgive my high expectations in paying $6 for a drink to be palatable. And you do understand to point of reviews correct? Yes I hardly give great reviews for coffee shops because it's actually rare for a coffee shop to know what it's doing, use good beans, and train the baristas correctly. Most bad coffee is covered up by tons of sugar and the customer never notices.
Penny Lane Coffeehouse is a place to go when you want to wine down and relax. I’ve been supporting this local business for a while and moved away about 10 months ago and is the reason I had to move back. This beautiful establishment with its unique character that does not match any other local coffee shop in town made me even more home sick than ever! I’m so happy to be back in Evansville which is not my birth home but my chosen home that my heart chose. Penny Lane Coffeehouse is definitely a must try for any coffee lover and even non-coffee lovers because they offer way more than just coffee!! They have breakfast and lunch for foods and I’ve attached the picture of the menu in this review. They also have smoothies and Teas for the coffee lovers and non-coffee readers! This is also the place to go when you want to just escape the world and get lost in books. Check out the huge wall of books where people take a book and leave a book. Also coming here you also support the local artists here in Evansville by coming to admire the work of arts on the wall or even purchasing one but also don’t forget the handmade jewelry’s and keychains!! Stop and support local today at Penny Lane Coffeehouse
This place was great. Good sandwiches and good service. However there isn't much seating indoors so we had to sit down outside. There were multiple people smoking. That's not what we wanted to smell while we were eating breakfast so we left. I wish they had a no smoking policy. A sign for no smoking within 50 ft from the building would be nice. I expect smoking at a bar not a breakfast cafe.
