Balefire Brasserie - Saint Augustine

Stale, impersonal mediocre overpriced food wine. Window seat looks at the road. Out of steak no bread. No sauce served with snapper polenta?! They gave me some melted butter.....because I asked but not intended for the dish. No love or passion in this place. Pitiful. I LOVE coming to visit St.Augustine 2-3 times a year because family lives here. This is harsh but I would have rather eaten fresh caught fish in Cleveland (where I live) than the dry bland food atmosphere at Balefire.

We had to send back 2 of 4 dishes and one other really should have been. The server was forgetful. They do have them trained well for that kitchen bell ? , however. He stopped opening our bottle of wine to go answer it unprofessional . Decor is fine but a bit plain for the price point. Overall, would not go back to this establishment. If I'm paying $40 for a steak, I like the bells and whistles.

The food, atmosphere, service were all impeccable! Can't wait to go again!!

Food is amazing. Everthing is fresh and cooked to order. Well worth the wait. Gerry was a great server and made the night very enjoyable.

Very Good, but not up to high expectations. WE were there on a Monday night, and there were not many diners. Yet the service was not great. Our waiter disappeared for long periods but the basic job was OK, just not exceptional. The food was really good-the calamari with pepperoni was memorable, and the fried zucchini was perfect- lightly breaded as promised. The duck breast came seriously undercooked-very rare and not medium as requested. The trout got good reviews, and the crab cakes, which were ordered as an entree were surprisingly excellent for a Florida restaurant. The dessert menu is very small-we went out for ice cream.
