Le Tsape - Saint-Aubin-Sauges

Wir waren am 11.März im Le Tsapé zum Mittagessen und bestellten die Hausspezialität "Elefantenohren/oreilles d'éléphant", einem grossen Truthahschnitzel mit Pommes und Gemüse sowie den Spaghettiteller mit Pilzen. Dazu tranken wir einen offenen Dôle (Rotwein) Das Essen war mittelmässig, die Pommes ungesalzen und trocken.Da es Selbstbedienung war kann man nur die Kassiererin und Buffetleute beurteilen.Sie machten ihren Job soweit ordentlich.Als Ski-"Beiz" können wir das Restaurant empfehlen es hat eine traumhaft Aussicht auf die Walliseralpen inkl. Matterhorn.

Schöne Terrasse, klassisches SB-Restaurant mit den ortstypischen Speisen zu moderaten Preisen. Das Essen hat gut geschmeckt und man hat einen tollen Blick auf die Berglandschaft.

Wir waren diesen Winter beim Skifahren im Restaurant. Es erwarten einen mindesten 10 "no picnic"-Schilder. Es wird ständig kontrolliert, dass man ja auch nicht den kleinsten Krümel aus seinem Rucksack herausholt und isst. Ich verstehe, dass man auf die Einnahmen aus den Mahlzeiten angewiesen ist, hier wird es aber deutlich übertrieben. Ständig werden Gäste ermahnt, ja nichts mitgebrachtes zu essen. Wir haben (selbstverständlich) nur Dinge konsumiert, welche wir auch im Restaurant erworben haben, die Atmosphäre des ständigen Kontrollierens durch das Personal war doch sehr unangenehm.Wir sind seit vielen Jahren in der Schweiz beim Skifahren, so haben wir es allerdings noch nie erlebt.Wir waren einmal und nie wieder dort, es gibt ja zum Glück Alternativen im Skigebiet wie z.B. Restaurant Illhorn Hütte.

Breathtaking views all around. a long, but quite simple 2 hours to walk from chandolin. to discover many mountain plants on the way.

After we had eaten in le tsapé, we didn't want to go anywhere else; it's really a cut over other mountain restaurants we tried. eating is really good, there are the usual pasta and polnta dishes, well prepared and uplifted, but also a selection of homemade suppening, and dishes like braided local bark with truffle kartoffels and the daily special that we tried both served with beautifully prepared vegetables that are seriously good and not out of place in any good restaurant. the prices are not higher than the usual Swiss price, and the generous aids and the quality of the ingredients are worth it. the staff is very friendly and proud to present the food beautifully. the place itself is clean, light and airy. it is easily accessible, only at the top of the chandolin tsapé sessellift, and practically for the rodelbahn, but also a really beautiful ski, on almost empty pists, from the tip of the st luc’s col des ombrintzes t bar. highly recommended!
