Federal 131 - Saginaw

I visited SVRC Marketplace once a week and it took me so long to give Federal an attempt. I missed myself. The Udon shell was amazing. Udon is usually a farewell to most sushi restaurants, but here it was fantastic. Service was excellent and the atmosphere is great in a warm summer night. Can't wait to come back.

Excellent dining experience. The food tasted fresh. My absolute favorite part was the pineapple mojito. It was deliciously crisp tasting with just a hint of sweetness and mint. A bit more upscale feeling than other options but quite nice all the same. It was a nice change. Overall pleasant experience.

Awesome food, great service. Had the shrimp tacos. Perfect blend of flavors. Very small seating area but it didn't seem to matter. I highly reccomend it. Will be going back for sure.

Nice little space. Clean and bright. Very unique menu. Will have to revisit to try more things. The fried pickles were a little greasy. Bartender was friendly and attentive. Will definitely return. Cook seemed cool.

My wife picked local 3 places and asked me to choose one because she was taking us out. We arrived and sat down. The decor was nice and the chandeliers are really cool. The whole color scheme I liked. But looking at the walls, they were all scuffed and had cuts in it. Doing some research they haven't been open even a year. So the menu was very lacking. The choices were a steak, filet (mignon I assume as it didnt say), halibut, chicken as well as a burger. The prices seemed completely out of line with what they were offering. The drink menu seemed to be a bit better though but it didn't matter in the end as we left without getting anything.
