O-toro Sushi Shabu - Sacramento

The spicy O TORO SPICY RAMEN is one of my top choices in Sacramento right now. The noodles, broth, and meat are all fantastic, and I have to say, they must do something special with their egg to make it taste so good. The MIDTOWN ROLL was also outstanding with a great sauce and a fresh flavor. Everything was packaged nicely as well.

I hoped that the higher prices would reflect better quality, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. The J Street Roll was just average and definitely didn’t surpass the $15 rolls from other sushi restaurants.

Is $20 for ramen before tax really a thing? I suggest checking out Ramen House Ryujin just a couple of blocks away. Not only is their ramen more reasonably priced, but it also tastes much better. The prices at O-Toro are outrageous—two average dishes will set you back over $40 here. Shaking my head!

Rolls were good, not great as the price would suggest. No Fresh Wasabi, the 2 Ketchup sized processed Wasabi were rancid. $78 for MANGO MADNESS ROLL. ORANGE BLOSSOM ROLL and Goyza, 2 napkins, 2 chopsticks, 2 soy sauce, 2 disgusting Wasabi. The flavors were good but incomplete with Wasabi and ginger. Unlikely to return Price=Value

Im surprised because Ive been in-person here before and the DoorDash order of food we received was awful. All the food didnt taste fresh and for sushi, thats a real problem. It was over $100 and nothing tasted of quality. Im severely disappointed in ways I didnt know was possibly with a "high-scale" sushi restaurant. What happened?
