I Shanghai Delight - Sacramento

Delicious Chinese food that suited my lunch time taste buds! The meal was big. I got to take home my chow mein and a few pot stickers. Yummy!

As of early 2023, we went there twice. The dumplings were good, very similar to what we had in Bay Area location. But the two waiters were very unprofessional.

I love the XLB from this establishment. It is freshly made after ordering so there is a bit of a wait. The soup is really flavorful and the meat is tender and perfectly seasoned. This is definitely one of the best XLBs in the Sacramento area. Another must order item is the sweet osmanthu scented glutinous rice cakes. The combination of the mildly sweet, soft, and chewy textures completely satisfies my tastebuds. This is also freshly prepared. The sliced bean curd was just okay. It lacked flavor. I will not order this in the future.

Filthy and disgusting place. Simply not safe. I rarely post negative reviews but I just don’t want anyone to get sick there. I love Chinese food and appreciate an authentic experience. But this place is totally terrible. Severely understaffed, no host to greet clients, they sit Chinese speakers first regardless the waitlist. The restroom is in the worst state I ever seen waste is covering the walls, simply a biohazard site. So please avoid by all means, especially if with kids.

-Parking is always a hassle in Old Sac and the meters runs till 9-10 pm (forgot)-restaurants decors and layout 6/10-customer service is a 1/10I have never experienced such awkward service from the gentleman that works as a greeter, waiter and all customers point of contact. We got there and the other guests that showed up had gotten their food first before us. We asked for water and gotten 2 and there were three of us. -restroom 3/10Smells, not fresh, smells like smoke but upside is they have toilet paper and paper towels. FYI the toilet is to the right before you walk to enter the dining area. Be careful when you walk because on the floor is a worn out yellow paint that isn't smooth. Overall I wasn't satisfy because the gentleman looked like he had an attitude and didn't want to be there from the moment we walked in. He didn't greet us, didn't properly care for us and the whole dinning experience was sad. Two stars for the one great dish I had ordered and restroom had paper towels and tp. The whole atmosphere was just super quiet with no music or tv on.
