Chipotle Mexican Grill - Sacramento

Fast, clean, great customer service. Price of food is still the same as last year still but they charge for each tortilla on the side.

It was your typical Chipotle experience, well, almost. The staff member served very small portions, and I had to ask for more several times, which unfortunately added to my bill. I returned for a second visit on February 24, 2022, and it was a much better experience. I had a different server this time who generously gave me extra chicken at no extra charge. I’m not expecting free extras, but if they provided a decent amount to start with, I wouldn’t need to ask for more and incur extra costs. During my first visit, I genuinely felt like the worker gave me about half the usual portion of chicken you’d get at any other Chipotle. Overall, though, this location is really nice, and I have to mention that the bathroom was excellent!

One of the healthiest meals you can find is the burrito bowl, which includes brown rice, black beans, Pollo Arroyo, fresh salsa, cheese, and lettuce. Delicious!

I always order a barbacoa bowl, while my son typically gets steak tacos and my other son opts for a burrito. However, on this occasion, he decided to try a steak bowl instead and really enjoyed it, prompting him to want to return just two days later. I would prefer to have more meat in my bowl, so I think I’ll request double meat next time. It can get a bit pricey, but my bowl lasts through both lunch and dinner. I've been a customer since the days when the Sacramento Bee was placing Chipotle bags in their newspapers—if you brought one to the restaurant, you could get a free burrito. That promotion ran for about a month and was quite effective in bringing in repeat customers.
