Bbq Burgers - Sacramento

This place has such incredible meat. i'm so glad we tried it. the smokey flavour comes through so strong and the sauce is the perfect counterbalance. i will say that the meat is absolutely caked in black pepper which is not disclosed anywhere on the menu. which was a problem for me since i'm allergic to black pepper. i took some meds and had a couple bites anyway because it was just so good, but sadly everyone else got to enjoy the bulk of the meat. portion sizes were great, too. sides were just okay, we got the mac and cheese and the sweet potato fries. would definitely order again, i might see if i can request no black pepper!

Had the 2 meat 2 side plate with chicken and Brisket. Also had 1/2 rack of ribs. The chicken was all white sliced breast meat. Very tender and juicy . Not dry at all. Brisket and ribs were tender and full of flavor. Fries were bomb also. I've had most BBQ spots in town where they hide the lack of flavor with sauce. This spot comes with sauce on the side. Nothing to hide on this well seasoned slightly smoked meat. Definitely recommend giving this spot a shot.

I got the special double cheeseburger with fries and a drink, my gf got the smoked chicken sandwich. Both were great. Fries were crispy. They have a 10% off with student ID. Great little place near campus with a spot for a band and outdoor seating. Will be going back for some BBQ sometime.

It is hard to rate a BBQ place based on just one visit, one meal. I’d like to try some other meats from here, but it is a bit out of the way for me to visit often. So, first visit, I tried a brisket sandwich with French fries. The meat was very tender and flavorful, and more of it than I expected. Unfortunately, a rather dull roll was disappointing. Just not very good. The meat came without sauce, which I liked, but there were just two sauces available at the table. One was sweet, the other wasn’t labeled. A bit disappointing. Counter service was fast, not particularly friendly, just disinterested and in a hurry even though I was the only person placing an order. I wouldn’t consider coming back, but the meat itself was great and I want to try some other options

Very tentative service. The ribs could have been cooked longer.
