フィードバックを提供するWhile we were on our way, we stumbled upon this pub that seemed nice enough. We initially intended to just grab a sandwich, which I did and it was delicious and quite filling for only £7.25. My husband opted for the scampi, and we both agreed that the chips were excellent. The service was friendly and inviting, and although the garden area looked appealing, it was too warm for us to enjoy. The overall appearance of the place may need some attention, but the quality of the food and service make it worth a visit.
Lovely country pub. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Had a proper home cooked Sunday roast followed by apple crumble and custard. Spot on.
Unfortunately, I can’t rate this pub any higher, it’s in desperate need of some money spending on it. Sat in beer garden for a drink after circular walk at Wharram Percy. Wasn’t expecting a lot as read reviews, but a spacious, dog friendly beer garden was mentioned. Random bits of furniture that had seen better days dotted around outside, no one else sat in garden on a lovely sunny afternoon and only 1 family eating inside. All the decor is very dated totally worn out. They’ve given the toilets a lick of paint and they were at least clean, but this isn’t going to attract new customers in its current state. My husband had the IPA which was good but my lager (Birra Moretti) was flat and watery and my Daughter’s 3 lemonades were totally flat. The lady serving was friendly but this isn’t somewhere we would want to revisit sorry.
We were running the Yorkshire Wolds Way and stopped for a night. The landlady could not have been more accommodating and welcoming. Good pub dinner, dog friendly and a great breakfast! Would highly recommend it.
Sweet potato, feta spinach lasagna, great garlic bread really, really good. Steak pie, gorgeous chips, great vegetables. Pure simple, a great pub meal lovely staff.
