When you are eating you don't even feel like you are in a restaurant. It does taste like you are home. Can't wait to go back again and just try the desert. Again be patient as they are short staffed but so worth it!!!!!
We were in there and we noticed the lady in the kitchen was sprinkling one of my family members cheese onto her salad with her bare hands. The same lady came and delivered our food and her fingernails had dirt inside. Seats and tables and greasy. We haven’t gone there since.
I like trying different diners, especially for breakfast. I was in the Ruskin area and decided to check this place out. I ordered the Kountry Boy breakfast (not misspelled). It came with two eggs, two sausage patties, two strips of bacon, biscuits and gravy, and a side. It was more than I could possibly eat. More importantly, it tasted great. Both the bacon and sausage patties tasted better than the average diner's. The prices were fair, and I had great service, too.
They had a guy playing music and singing in the corner of an already tiny space, was too loud, couldn't have a conversation. Server was rude... food was low quality. I did enjoy my side salad. Though I felt like it was a bother to ask for salad instead of French fries.Dietary restrictions: If you ask for healthy choices...you are made to feel like it is a bother.
We loved our lunch at Barbara’s Family Restaurant, we were allowed to bring our service dog inside, which is huge considering the extreme heat outside. She laid well under the table and enjoyed watching all the people.I really enjoyed my French Dip sandwich, with the perfect amount of cheese on a perfectly toasted bun. It was so big I took some home.My husband had the veggie omelet with hash browns. The service was just right and the atmosphere was lively. We saw all ages enjoying a variety of good looking food.My husband can’t wait until next time to try the thick onion rings he saw being served at the next booth. This is a picture of only half my French Dip sandwich with fries.Vegetarian options: Crisp salads and several vegetable choices. Most meals can be prepared without meat.Kid-friendliness: It looked like the kids were enjoying their meals and had several kids meals to choose from.Parking: This is a stone parking lot but we’ll maintained when we were there.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp I believe and a wide doorway .Dietary restrictions: Request your meal as you want it prepared.
