We were visiting relatives in Rushville, and bypassed Pizza Hut and Domino 's in order to try the local joint, Pizza King. Never thought I 'd say this, but wish we 'd gone to Pizza Hut. I really don 't understand what people seem to love about Pizza King. The sauce tasted like plain, unseasoned tomato paste. No basil, no oregano, no garlic nothing. Plenty of toppings and cheese, and decent crust even. But seriously did someone forget to add the seasoning to the tomato sauce base? Because there 's no way what we got could be the regular recipe. Bland, bland, bland. On the plus side, the dinner salad was very fresh, cold and crisp. But I certainly wouldn 't go back for the pizza. We like to support local businesses, and really *wanted* to like this place, but Pizza King needs to abdicate the throne if he can 't do better than this.
