There is also a soft play area for children (available at an extra cost), though it's smaller than average. The shop has a decent selection of gift items. However, the restrooms are quite small and were out of order during my visit, making it a bit inconvenient, especially with kids playing in the soft play area nearby. Overall, it's a nice place to visit!"
As for the garden center, it's worth mentioning that it always has great seasonal offerings. It can be a bit pricey, but the outdoor plants are definitely worth considering, especially when the weather is nice. Just be cautious if you're using a trolley, as the floor can be uneven in places. It’s easy to tip the trolley over an elevated section or to trip, so watch your step. Having grown up in a family that owned a garden center, I’ve picked up quite a bit about planting, but for someone new to gardening, it can be overwhelming. It would be really helpful to have some signage indicating which plants are suitable for different conditions, along with details about the type of soil they need and when to plant them. The restrooms could use some attention, but honestly, they don’t see much traffic during the day. The place tends to be quite busy with families, especially parents with children. It seems to be wheelchair-friendly, although some bumps outside may present a bit of a challenge.
This is a lovely place for a walk with your dog and kids. There’s a great, long path that circles the lakes, as well as a pond featuring small bridges and a cozy spot for birdwatchers. The garden center is particularly delightful, especially during the Christmas season, and dogs are welcome. Even if they’re tempted to snack on some treats, there’s a soft play area for the children to enjoy.
I went with my grandson today. there is a beautiful opposite to see the animal world and many ducks to say hi. there is a picnic area and a restaurant and play area as well as a garden center. plan to spend a good time as it loads to see and do. every age will love it there.
This has your usual wide array of plants and garden items as you'd expect from a garden centre with a selection of other stuff like books, toys and seasonal things. I didn't see an aquatics section like a lot of garden centres have. We met another family here for lunch as they have a small free to use soft play area for children, which they enjoyed. The food was good but a bit pricey and we did have to queue a long time to order. They do offer a carvery here, which looked better than some pubs but you had to queue again even longer for it so we gave it a miss.
